Description
Montagu's Harrier (Circus pygargus) is a rare breeding bird in the Netherlands. Some breeding pairs can still be found in the province of Groningen. In the evening I saw this male sitting close to the road with a freshly caught Meadow Pipit. That was a great opportunity to get some pictures from a close distance.
